Club History

The Fairways of the Sea

Established in 1905, Rosslare Golf Links sits on a narrow stretch of burrow land between the Irish Sea and Wexford Harbour, a landscape shaped as much by wind and tide as by design.

Rosslare Golf Links

A proud members club

From its earliest days, the club has balanced ambition with resilience. Bankruptcy, lease negotiations and coastal erosion all threatened its future in the early years, yet a determined local membership secured its survival and re-established Rosslare as a members’ club in 1908, a status it proudly holds today.

The extension to 18 holes in 1926, designed by the renowned firm Hawtree & Taylor, cemented Rosslare’s reputation as one of Ireland’s finest links. Through championship hosting, national victories and the addition of the Burrow Links in 1992, the club has evolved while remaining true to its natural setting.
